In a significant development, Nihal Hashmi is set to take oath as the new Governor of Sindh today at 4 pm. Chief Justice of Sindh High Court will administer the oath to Nihal Hashmi at the Governor House in Karachi. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has met with Nihal Hashmi and congratulated him on his appointment as the Governor of Sindh. It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s advice led to President Asif Zardari approving Nihal Hashmi’s appointment as the Governor of Sindh.
Earlier, outgoing Governor Kamran Tessori congratulated Nihal Hashmi and expressed gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Field Marshal Asim Maniar. On the other hand, MQM Pakistan has expressed strong reservations on the decision to remove Kamran Khan Tessori.
