The Israeli media reported that a ballistic missile was fired by Iran towards the northern Israeli town of Zerzira, injuring dozens.
In a separate incident, the Saudi Ministry of Defense claimed to have destroyed 56 drones in the air, including one that was attempting to target the diplomatic area of Riyadh. Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Hossein Salami said that the world will witness a different Yom Kippur this year.
On the other hand, Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani warned that if Iran’s energy infrastructure is targeted, the entire Middle East will face severe consequences. The IRGC claimed that the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was hit by missiles, causing significant damage. Experts believe that the missiles were used to deceive Israel’s advanced air defense system.
Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that an average of over 1,000 attacks are being carried out against Iran every day.
