Pakistani cricket star Babar Azam will not participate in the National T20 Cricket Tournament, according to sources. The Pakistan team management has advised Babar to take a break for rest. Following the team management’s guidance, Babar has decided to take a short break from cricket. Babar Azam was not instructed by the team management to play in the National T20 Cup. Sources claim that Babar has begun individual training sessions with coaches at nets, focusing on his game ahead of the PSL. He revealed that he has around eight months left before the next World Cup and has started working on regaining his old batting techniques. Babar has informed Lahore Whites about his unavailability.
It is worth noting that Babar is expected to open for Peshawar Zalmi in the upcoming PSL 11. Previously, it was reported that Babar would play in the National T20 Cup and represent Lahore Whites. Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistani cricketer, has also opted out of the Hundred League just before the one-day tournament.
