She shared that she had been offered a role in the film, which was almost finalized, but she felt that it was essential to spend the initial months of her child’s life with her.
Nadia Jamil, a renowned actress in the Pakistani entertainment industry, stressed the importance of providing a good upbringing to her children. She shared that her mother had even offered to accompany her to the film’s shoot, and her in-laws had no objections either. However, she chose to prioritize her child’s needs over the opportunity to work in a prominent film.
Jamil acknowledged that many people advised her that turning down the film would harm her career, but she chose to put her child’s needs first. The film Veer-Zaara, released in 2004, starred Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in the lead roles, while Rani Mukherjee played the pivotal role of Pakistani lawyer Saima Siddiqui.
