Pakistan National T20 Cup to Kick Off in Peshawar with 10 Regional Teams
The Pakistan National T20 Cup, comprising 10 regional teams, will commence on March 8 in Peshawar. On the first day of the tournament, Lahore Whites will take on Peshawar and Faisalabad, while Karachi Whites will face off against Lahore Whites. The 12-day tournament will feature two matches per day, with the first match scheduled to start at 4 pm and the second match at 9 pm.
The winning team will receive a prize money of PKR 50 million. All 23 matches of the event will be broadcast live on Geo Super. Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Mohammad Rizwan said, “We have players who have experience playing in Bangladesh, and we are confident of our chances.”
Due to the ongoing tensions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), there is a possibility that the white-ball series may be postponed. In a response to Mohammad Kaif’s outburst, former Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir said, “I earned my place in the team through my performances, not just my fielding.”
Pakistan’s hockey team has qualified for the World Cup, and President and Prime Minister have congratulated the team on this achievement. The ICC T20 World Cup final will be played between India and New Zealand on March 12 in Ahmedabad.
