In a brazen daylight robbery, two police constables were ambushed and robbed by dacoits in Sheikhupura’s Issan Nagar area, close to the Thana Sadar police station. The officers, part of the Dolphin Squad, were attacked while on duty. The dacoits made off with mobile phones, money, and other valuable items, leaving the officers vulnerable and shaken.
According to police reports, the dacoits took the officers’ official rifle, motorcycle, wireless set, two mobile phones, and a large sum of cash. The perpetrators have been identified as Dalaar Dugar and Abbas Dugar. Police have registered a case and launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspects.
Meanwhile, in other news, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on the party’s electoral success in Bangladesh. In a separate development, PTI leader Pervez Rashid criticized the government, stating that their moral compass was vastly different from that of the opposition.
