Pakistan’s Religious Party JUI-F Leader Condemns Assassination of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi
Islamabad: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), has stated that the assassination of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi is a continuation of the anti-imperialist struggle against Muammar Gaddafi. In a condolence statement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the Gaddafi family is a symbol of resistance against the United States and global oppressors. He added that the Gaddafi family was martyred for their struggle against global imperialism.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman further stated that the assassination of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi will galvanize the anti-imperialist struggle. He expressed his condolences to the Gaddafi family and the Libyan people.
Meanwhile, the government of Pakistan has agreed to increase cooperation with Uzbekistan in the fields of energy, defense, tourism, and education. The two countries have signed a deal to establish an inter-regional forum.
