In a significant development, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, the leader of the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Hurmat-e-Islam, has announced that they will accept the government’s negotiation offer. In an interview with Geo News, Khokhar stated that the doors of dialogue in politics are never closed.
According to Sindh Governor Suhail Anwar Siyal, the opposition leader said that they have decided to unconditionally accept the Prime Minister’s offer for negotiations. Khokhar emphasized that everyone understands that it is essential to bring down the political temperature, and they want to set the rules of the game.
The opposition leader further stated that they are willing to discuss the terms and conditions of the negotiations with the government. He also expressed his desire to resolve the ongoing political crisis through dialogue.
Meanwhile, Senator Rana Sanaullah, the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, said that the government is committed to holding free and fair elections. In a press conference, he stated that the Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has invited the opposition for negotiations, and the meeting was attended by the opposition leaders.
The opposition leader also stated that they will participate in the negotiations without any preconditions. He emphasized that they want to resolve the ongoing crisis through dialogue and find a solution that is acceptable to all parties involved.
In related news, the government and opposition have agreed to establish an Inter Regional Forum to promote cooperation and understanding between the two countries. The forum will focus on energy, defense, tourism, and education.
Additionally, the opposition leader, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, expressed his concerns about the social media activities of the PTI. He stated that the PTI’s social media campaign is humiliating and disrespecting the opposition parties.
Separately, the Pakistan Army’s Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Muzaffarabad and attended a ceremony at the Martyrs’ Monument. The Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff, and Minister for Interior have expressed their full support for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
