Pakistan Protests: Woman Arrested for Allegedly Carrying Arms Near Jail
A case has been registered against a suspect for allegedly carrying arms during a protest near Adiala Jail, where the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan was staging a sit-in. The suspect, identified as Arif, was arrested by the police outside the Thana Sadar Bari. According to the police, 30 pistol cartridges and four bullets were recovered from Arif’s possession. The suspect failed to produce any license or permission for carrying the pistol.
The sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, Alima Khan, had staged a sit-in near Adiala Jail on Adiala Road in Rawalpindi on the day she met with her brother. The police claimed that the armed person was present near the sisters of PTI founder and MPAs.
