In a shocking turn of events, a suspect in the high-profile murder case of TikTok star Thana Yusuf has been allegedly threatened in Islamabad’s District and Session Courts. The suspect, identified as Umair Hayat, was taken into custody before the hearing. Additional Session Judge Afzal Mujahid has ordered legal action against the suspect. During the proceedings, the suspect claimed that he had met Umair Hayat in prison and had come to the court. Judge Afzal Mujahid remarked that the police should investigate the matter according to the law.
IG Islamabad Ali Naseer Rizvi said that the entire nation had been questioning the murder of Thana Yusuf. In the midst of the hearing, another prosecution witness was recorded. Prosecutor Raja Naveed Qayani appeared in court and stated that all evidence had been presented in court. Umair Hayat’s lawyer requested the court to transfer the suspect to a different barrack, to which Judge Afzal Mujahid replied that the Superintendent of Adiala Jail would issue the necessary orders. The court has adjourned the hearing of Thana Yusuf’s murder case until February 10.
