In the wake of recent terror incidents in Balochistan, Federal Interior Minister Moosa Khan Niazai paid a visit to the Quetta Corps Headquarters. The minister was briefed on the security situation and the terror attacks by Interior Secretary and other officials. Provincial Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri and Corps Commander Quetta were also present during the briefing. The Chief Minister stated that there would be no compromise on maintaining peace and stability in the province. Minister Niazai praised the timely and effective response of security forces to the terror attacks and paid tribute to the martyred security personnel and civilians.
He said that the martyrs had sacrificed their lives to thwart the nefarious designs of terrorists, and the war against terrorism would continue until the last terrorist is eliminated. Meanwhile, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, announced that his party would stage a sit-in outside the Sindh Assembly from February 14. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Suhail Aman, condemned the terror incidents in Balochistan and said that he would raise the provincial issues at the federal level.
Sindh Governor, Kamran Tessori, stated that tax collection was underway in Karachi, but the revenue generated was not being utilized effectively in the city. MQM-Pakistan Chairman, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, stated that the rulers of Karachi were responsible for its downfall, and the fire tenders were stationed in Nawabshah and Larkana.
Federal Minister of State for Interior, Senator Talal Chaudhry, said that Indian proxy forces were being trained across the border, and they were carrying out activities in the country. The Lahore Police held a meeting to discuss the preparations for the upcoming Basant festival. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Chairman of the United National Movement, said that it was shameful to use women and children as human shields by the terrorists.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Sanaullah Zehri, stated that 145 terrorists had been killed, and five women and three children were martyred in the terrorist attack in Gawadar.
