In a significant development, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Engineering Development Board (EDB), Hammad Ali Mansoor, met with Acting President of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, at the President House. During the meeting, Mansoor gave a detailed briefing on the role and objectives of the EDB. He explained that the EDB is a premier institution under the Ministry of Industries and Production, established in 1995 to stabilize Pakistan’s engineering sector. Mansoor highlighted the board’s key efforts to promote industrial growth, increase exports, encourage research and development, improve technical skills, and align the sector with international standards.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary for Information, Sheikh Waqas Akram, has allegedly leaked an audio message. He has been released from the Australian cricket series, with two matches remaining. The French Embassy in Pakistan has expressed congratulations to Ali Akbar, a Pakistani national and the last French newspaper vendor, on receiving an award.
