Pakistan’s military has launched a rescue operation in snowstorm-hit areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Severe snowfall has affected various regions, prompting the military to deploy aid teams to provide relief to stranded individuals.
According to sources, the military has established control centers in Hosri, Ziarat, Bolan, Zhob, and Quetta’s Siyal region. Additionally, control centers have been set up in Khwazakhela, Lak Pass, Dakki, Kolpur, and Muslim Bagh.
Military personnel and rescue teams are working tirelessly to rescue individuals stranded due to the snowstorm. The military is providing food and medical aid to those affected by the severe weather conditions.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karimabad district, security forces have been carrying out rescue and relief operations due to heavy snowfall and avalanche. The affected areas’ main roads have been cleared with heavy machinery and personnel.
The military has successfully evacuated stranded passengers from highways and moved them to safe locations. In the Tirah Valley, military personnel have been actively involved in relief operations.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari met with UAE Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to discuss strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
