According to eyewitnesses, Dr. (Pediatrician), who witnessed the incident, stated that he tried to save the injured person but was initially hesitant and delayed by ICE agents. The eyewitness doctor claimed that he saw the agents firing multiple shots after pushing the injured person to the ground. After the shooting, the doctor went outside and, while identifying himself as a medical professional, asked for permission to provide aid to the injured person. However, the ICE agents first asked for his medical license and conducted a search before allowing him to assist.
In a separate incident, ICE agents in Minnesota apprehended a 5-year-old boy, Liam Concepcion Ramos, as he was returning from preschool to his home in Minnesota. The school administration stated that the boy was used as a “bail” for his father’s arrest. The eyewitness doctor claimed that he insisted on helping the injured person due to his professional and moral responsibility, as no other agent was providing assistance.
According to eyewitness accounts and videos, Alex Prentice, a nurse at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, was helping a woman when an ICE agent pushed her to the ground. Meanwhile, the agents used tear gas and shot at Prentice, who was trying to protect the woman.
The ICE has stated that the shooting was in self-defense, as Prentice allegedly resisted arrest. However, Prentice’s family has denied this claim, stating that he was trying to protect the woman. Following the incident, protests have erupted in Minneapolis against the ICE agents.
