The divorce of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s ex-wife, Sajdeh, after several years sparked curiosity. Sajdeh has finally opened up about the real reasons behind their separation, revealing how their lives changed after the divorce.
The couple married in 1998 and separated in 2022, sharing two sons, Noah and Yohan, whom they co-parent. In an interview, Sajdeh reflected on their past, saying that when they got married, they were both young and didn’t fully understand how life changes with time. She added that as they grew older, they moved in different directions, their thoughts changed, and ultimately, they realized they were better friends than spouses.
Sajdeh stated that the decision to separate was not taken hastily but was the result of careful consideration. They prioritized the comfort and tranquility of their home over the unhappiness caused by constant disputes. She emphasized that it’s better to live separately than to ruin the home environment with constant arguments.
Sajdeh also shared that no woman dreams of divorce and is not responsible for it. She revealed that she went through depression and that her children would have been affected too. They took their time, especially for the sake of their children, to reach this conclusion. When asked who made the final decision, Sajdeh clarified that there was no blame game involved.
Discussing their post-divorce lives, Sajdeh revealed that gaining practical independence was her biggest challenge. She had to learn everything from scratch, including financial management and insurance. Currently, she is in a relationship with Vikram Aiyar, whom she had engaged to before marrying Saif Ali Khan.
