Mumbai police have taken Bollywood actor and film critic Kamal Rashid Khan, also known as KRK, into custody over allegations of firing shots at a residential building in Mumbai. According to Indian media, Khan was detained by the Mumbai police on charges of firing at a residential building in the Oshiwara area of Mumbai. Police sources claim that Khan allegedly fired four rounds at the building, prompting an immediate response from the police, who apprehended the actor and seized the pistol used in the incident.
The police are investigating the motive behind the firing and whether Khan was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the incident or if there was any long-standing feud involved. Khan has previously been involved in controversy over his contentious tweets and criticism of Bollywood personalities, resulting in several legal issues and jail time. In 2022, he was arrested at Mumbai Airport over old tweets, and in 2020, he was detained for making objectionable comments about actors Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
