The case of the tiger attack on an 8-year-old girl in Lahore’s Bhikhiwind village has taken a new turn, with the Punjab police arresting 11 more tigers on illegal possession charges. According to the police, the 11 tigers include 5 tigresses, 3 tigers, and 3 cubs, which were being kept in a factory in the New Kot area.
The girl, who was attacked by a tigress, was taken to the hospital where she received injuries on her ear and neck. The tigers were shifted from Sheikhupura to Lahore a few months ago, and the suspects did not have a license to keep them in Lahore.
The police have registered cases against the suspects and handed over the tigers to the Wildlife Department. The suspects are involved in the illegal trade of wild animals.
