A Delhi-based puppet court has convicted Kashmir freedom leader Asiya Andrabi, a leader of the women-led resistance movement, Daughter of the Nation. According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian court has found Asiya Andrabi guilty in a fabricated case and sentenced her to imprisonment. The grieving family of the victim has staged a full-throated protest against this inhumane killing. Meanwhile, freedom leader Abdul Hamid Lone has strongly condemned the inhumane killing of Khalid Butt.
The Indian court has also convicted freedom leader Fahmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen, both Kashmiri women, in the fabricated case. The sentences will be announced on January 17. Kashmir Media Service states that the false charges were brought against Asiya Andrabi in the notorious Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) court. Asiya Andrabi’s husband, Ashiq Hussain, has been in Indian prison for three decades on false charges.
