In a significant development, key figures in Pakistan’s politics have extended congratulations to the newly chosen leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Mahmood Khan Achakzai. According to the spokesperson for the opposition coalition, Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aik Pakistan, several prominent figures have reached out to Achakzai to offer their felicitations and well-wishes.
These figures include former Governor of Balochistan, Zehoor Agha, and former Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ghulam Ali, who have both made telephone calls to Achakzai. The Speaker of the National Assembly has also issued a notification for Achakzai’s appointment as the opposition leader.
In addition, senior leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party, including Barrister Iqbal Haider and PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, have also extended their congratulations to Achakzai.
The opposition coalition’s spokesperson stated that the political leadership has congratulated Achakzai on his appointment as the opposition leader and expressed their best wishes for his future endeavors.
In other news, the Chief Minister of Sindh has directed his advisors to report on a daily basis on the progress of various cases. Foreign Minister, Asad Durrani, has also expressed his hopes for peace and stability in the region.
In a separate incident, it has been reported that a motorcyclist was involved in a fatal accident with a dumper in Karachi’s Port Qasim area, resulting in the death of one person and injuring a woman.
