According to a statement, the Federal Cabinet held a meeting in Islamabad, where the Ministry of Finance briefed the cabinet on the new design of bank notes being issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). During the briefing, it was revealed that the SBP is designing the new currency notes in accordance with modern and contemporary demands. The services of international experts were also utilized in this regard. The new designs of the currency notes, including those worth 100, 500, 1,000, and 5,000 rupees, will feature enhanced security threads and Pakistan’s regional and geographical diversity, as well as historical landmarks.
