Karachi, Pakistan – In a bid to address public grievances, Pakistan’s Minister of Local Government, Nisar Hussain Shah, met with the leaders of the Islamic Party in Karachi. The meeting was attended by the party’s town chairmen, led by Ameer Manzoor Zafar, as well as representatives from the Local Government, Water and Sanitation Corporation, Solid Waste Management, and other relevant agencies.
During the meeting, the town chairmen raised concerns about water and sanitation issues, as well as waste management. Justice Yousaf Ali Saeed, who was present at the meeting, emphasized the need for the government to provide a written response to address these concerns.
Separately, Islamabad’s Minister of Interior, Shehbaz Sharif, convened a meeting to discuss the recent floods and law and order situation in the country. However, Interior Minister Suhail Aftab did not attend the meeting, citing health reasons.
Meanwhile, a woman who had divorced her husband three years ago has been granted custody of her children. The court ruled that the children would be allowed to live with their mother, citing concerns about their well-being.
In a separate development, the United Nations has called for a permanent ceasefire in Ukraine, emphasizing the need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, appealed for calm and restraint, urging all parties to seek a diplomatic solution.
In Pakistan, a fire broke out in a car on Sharif Faisal Road, near the Boloch Bridge in Karachi. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Brigade, and no casualties were reported.
The Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, met with the Indonesian Defense Minister to discuss defense cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was held to explore areas of mutual interest and strengthen defense ties.

In India, a senior official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met with government officials in New Delhi. The meeting was held to discuss issues related to the Afghan peace process and regional security.
