Karachi’s Mayor Murtaza Wahab has stated that the Jinnah Garden is a large ground, making it difficult to fill. In a statement, Murtaza Wahab said that if Sindh Chief Minister Saeed Ghani has come to politics, the MQM-P is ready. However, if Saeed Ghani has come to Karachi to propagate and sabotage things, it is wrong. Sindh’s Minister for Local Government, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, said that they take permission from the federation to hold gatherings in Jinnah Garden. Mayor Karachi further stated that Jinnah Garden is a large ground, making it difficult to fill, and if the PTI does not have enough people to fill the ground, they should reveal the truth. He added that the Sindh government will provide people to the PTI for the rally, and they will tell their people to go to Jinnah Garden.
On the other hand, Sindh’s Information Minister, Sadiqa Javied, stated that no permission will be given to anyone to sabotage the peace and disturb the law and order situation. The Meteorological Department says that the temperature is expected to be between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius.
In a separate incident, a gas cylinder explosion occurred in a shop in Chak Shafi, a village in Pakpattan. A joint wedding ceremony was held by the Hindu Council in Qaida City, while in Karachi, the railway grounds hosted a similar ceremony. Senior PTI leader, Asad Qaiser, stated that under the Charter of Democracy, they can hold gatherings, and the Constitution and laws allow them to do so. The PTI rally in Karachi has yet to start, while the TTP’s leader, Mahmood Achakzai, stated that the current crises in Pakistan are internal. Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar, attended an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers in Jeddah and then returned to Pakistan.
