In a shocking turn of events, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Suhail Anwar Khan, was unable to visit the Quaid-e-Azam’s Mausoleum during his three-day tour of Karachi. Despite announcing a rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah on the third day, Khan was unable to make the pilgrimage to the iconic monument. Instead, he spent the day visiting various areas of the city, including the Kiamari and Municipal areas, before leaving for a brief speech at the Namash Chowrangi.
As the PTI rally remained stagnant, the Quaid-e-Azam’s Mausoleum was closed at 6 pm, with the national flag being lowered. The CM’s absence from the mausoleum visit has sparked controversy, with many questioning the motives behind his decision.
Meanwhile, a gas explosion in a shop in the Chak Shahzad area of Lahore’s Pakistan Town has left several people injured. In another incident, a massive gathering of Hindus in Karachi’s Railway Ground was held under the auspices of the Hindu Council, with participants celebrating a mass wedding.
