Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi revealed that evidence suggests India interfered with a third-party in the May conflict, leading to a ceasefire. During the weekly briefing, Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that India’s fabricated narrative of terrorism and aggression against Pakistan cannot hide the facts. He added that India has consistently disrupted regional peace and continues to do so. The spokesperson noted that India has carried out extrajudicial killings abroad and interfered in neighboring countries’ internal affairs.
Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that operatives like Kulbhushan Jadhav carried out terrorism in Pakistan, while India provided safe havens to wanted terrorists. He added that minorities in India are facing increasing harassment and oppression. The spokesperson highlighted that hundreds of Kashmiri political leaders and civil society members are imprisoned in occupied Kashmir, including senior Kashmiri leader Shabbir Shah, who has been serving a long prison sentence for several years. Kashmiri leader Asiah Andrabi has also been in Indian custody for a long time.
The Field Marshal attended a training exercise organized by the Formation and emphasized the importance of preparations and innovation for future wars. Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that Pakistan has opposed Iran’s external aggression and threats, and has also opposed past sanctions imposed on Iran, and will continue to do so in the future. He added that the restrictions on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) agreements are non-binding, and Iran’s internal situation is its internal matter. Pakistan does not interfere in the internal affairs of any neighboring country.
The spokesperson stated that Pakistan’s defense cooperation with Saudi Arabia is strong and multi-faceted, and there is no information available on a specific defense platform or loan agreement. He added that any confirmation of a possible defense agreement will be done after formal completion, and Pakistan-Saudi defense cooperation continues to progress under a bilateral framework. Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that there is no information available on the decision to send more Pakistani troops to Saudi Arabia, and any speculation on the increase in the number of troops is not possible.
