During the program, the actress was asked about the character she portrayed in Case No. 9, where she played the role of an Indian woman, and what advice she would give to someone who is inspired by her character. In response, Naveen Waqar said, “This is a very important question.” She further stated that when the drama was made around 14 years ago, these issues were not taken seriously at that time, but she had expressed her reservations about the script even then. She claimed that when her character Sara was shown getting hurt in the story, she had serious reservations about it.
Naveen Waqar emphasized that in the Joint Family System, there are many injustices happening, which are completely wrong. She stressed that there are many warning signs around us, and we need to pay attention to each other. The actress said that the story could have taken a different path with her character Sara, but the script was written in that way. However, self-harm is never the right approach. She advised people to spend time with their loved ones who genuinely care for them.
Naveen Waqar also shared that after the success of Hum Saafar, two elderly women had stopped her on the street and expressed their strong dissatisfaction with her character Sara, advising her to leave Ashar and Qirat alone. This shows that the viewers took her character very seriously. She further stated that in Joint Family System, there are many injustices happening, which are completely wrong.
