In a significant operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has eliminated three foreign terrorists in Lakki Marwat. The operation, conducted by the CTD in collaboration with the Bannu Region Police and Lakki Marwat Police, resulted in the deaths of three foreign terrorists who were involved in multiple attacks on law enforcement agencies, FC personnel, and civilians.
According to the CTD’s statement, the three terrorists, identified as Muhammad Nazir alias Mujahid, Foaudullah alias Muaz, and Afnan Khan alias Afanani, were killed in the operation. The CTD claimed that Muhammad Nazir was involved in the murder of a traffic constable and a CTD officer, while Foaudullah and Afnan Khan were wanted for targeting security personnel.
The operation also led to the recovery of a Kalashnikov rifle, two 9mm pistols, and a mobile phone from the terrorists. Additionally, three cards of a banned organization were seized from the terrorists.
IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Additional IG CTD praised the CTD and police for their efforts in eliminating the terrorists. IG Ziaullah Hamid stated that the province’s soil is now being used by terrorists, and operations will continue until the last foreign terrorist is eliminated.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the province’s hospitals are open to patients from other provinces, and multiple patients from other provinces are being treated in Punjab’s hospitals. He also offered talks to the terrorist groups, asking them to lay down their arms.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has demoted an officer from Grade 16 to Grade 14 for allegedly smoking in a no-smoking area and hiding a CCTV camera. In another incident, a woman and her child were kidnapped from a hospital in Lahore, allegedly by a man who offered to treat the child.
Mariana Nawaz, the wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, stated that the doors of their hearts are open to everyone, and the hospitals in Punjab are treating patients from other provinces.
Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Momeni stated that the propaganda network of the infamous enemy is again active in Pakistan. He also said that the elements being instigated by Israel and the US are trying to create instability in Iran through social media.
In a separate development, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reduced the prices of diesel, and a new fare chart for transportation has been issued. The Transport Department of Peshawar has also decided to maintain a 50% concession for students and special individuals.
In another incident, the Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens Frederik, stated that his country is not comparable to Venezuela, and he hopes for better relations with the US.
The Punjab government has approved a policy to ban and take strict action against individuals who issue anti-state statements. The funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered in Lahore after Zuhr prayers.
