Pakistan’s Air Force has successfully conducted a test flight of its homegrown Timur cruise missile system, a significant milestone in the development of the country’s air and defense capabilities. According to a statement from the Air Force spokesperson, the successful test flight marks another major achievement in the development of Pakistan’s defense capabilities. The Timur air-launched cruise missile is equipped with a conventional warhead and can strike targets up to 600 kilometers away with high accuracy.
Designed to fly at low altitudes, the missile is equipped with a modern navigation and guidance system, making it capable of evading enemy air and missile defense systems. Senior officers, scientists, and engineers from the armed forces, scientific community, and engineers witnessed the successful test flight. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Bhatti congratulated the scientists, engineers, and the entire Air Force team on this outstanding achievement.
Praising the team’s professional expertise, dedication, and unwavering resolve, Air Chief Marshal Bhatti emphasized that the successful test flight is a testament to Pakistan’s defense capabilities. In a separate statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hailed the development, saying that the successful test flight will strengthen the country’s defense capabilities. He also highlighted that the successful test flight is a demonstration of Pakistan’s defense industry’s technical expertise, innovation, and self-reliance.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, has announced that the ban on mobile phone services in North Waziristan will remain in effect from 5 am to 7 pm. The move comes as part of the government’s efforts to curb terrorism in the region.
In other news, the Sindh Police have arrested the suspect, Mushtaq Hussain, in connection with the murder of four people in the Mai Kolachi area of Karachi. The victims were reportedly shot dead at a wedding ceremony in the area.
In a related development, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Ali Musa Gilani, has accused the United States of seizing control of the world’s largest oil reserves. He claimed that American oil companies will now extract oil from Venezuela.

Police have made progress in the investigation into the murder of four people, whose bodies were found in a drain in the Mai Kolachi area. The victims were identified as Anila, a woman, and her three children.
In a separate statement, the DIG, Dr. Siddiqui, said that the victims were residents of Khairader and were identified by Anila’s sister, who contacted the police. Anila was a resident of New Air Nite and had gone out of the house and never returned.
