Sindh Minister for Local Government, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has directed the authorities to cover all manholes in Karachi to prevent any inconvenience to the citizens. Shah visited various areas of Karachi accompanied by Town Chairmen, MD Water Board, MD Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, PD Mega Projects, and KDA officers.
According to a spokesperson of the Sindh government, during the visit, Shah took stock of the city’s cleanliness, sanitation, and road conditions. He severely reprimanded the officials of the Water Board and Sindh Solid Waste Management Board for their poor performance, instructing them to ensure the emergency work of water supply and cleanliness is completed.
Karachi Mayor, Murtaza Wahab, stated that the People’s Party’s commitment is to continue the journey of development, and he does not receive any funds from the Prime Minister. Shah clarified that the work of road restoration must be completed immediately, and all manholes must be covered to prevent any inconvenience to the citizens.
He emphasized that the restoration of Karachi is a joint responsibility of everyone and that all institutions must work together to achieve this goal. The Minister further stated that the authorities will not tolerate any negligence in the restoration of Karachi’s infrastructure.
The police spokesperson said that during a wedding ceremony in a house, the victims came to the ceremony from Peshawar and Khyber to participate. They were killed and injured in the incident.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that those who deceive innocent people and push them out are not eligible for any concession. During a meeting, an agreement was reached to hold joint celebrations on the completion of 75 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.
