A fierce backlash has been triggered against Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan after he bought a Bangladeshi cricketer, Mustafizur Rahman, for a whopping 9.2 crores rupees in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. Singita Som, a former member of the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly and a prominent BJP leader, has strongly criticized Shah Rukh Khan for his decision, labeling him a traitor.
Speaking at a public event in Meerut, Singita Som said, “On one hand, Hindus are being killed in Bangladesh, and on the other hand, cricketers from Bangladesh are being bought in the IPL.” He went on to say that Pakistani cricketers were already being targeted by Bharatiya nationalists, and now Bangladeshi cricketers were also being targeted.
Singita Som targeted Shah Rukh Khan, saying, “The traitor Shah Rukh Khan has bought Mustafizur Rahman for 9 crores rupees, and there is no right for such traitors to live in this country.” He further said, “People of this country have helped you reach this position, and if you have money, it is the country’s money, but you have committed treason.”
Singita Som warned that if cricketers like Mustafizur Rahman, who was bought for 9.2 crores rupees in the IPL auction on December 16, come to India, they will not be allowed to leave the airport.
Meanwhile, Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has expressed her concern about the changing values of society, saying, “People are now laughing at comedy instead of humor.”
