Sindh PTI Chairman Saeed Afandi Abro has expressed his disagreement with the party’s decision to challenge his disqualification from the Senate, stating that the core issue lies in the PTI’s opposition to the 27th Constitutional Amendment. In an interview with Geo News, Abro claimed that he was not informed about the opposition to the amendment and did not receive any shockers or letters from the party.
According to Abro, Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, had nominated him as the Chairman of the Ministry of Interior Committee, but his own party members collaborated with government officials to oust him from the position. Abro alleged that Shireen Riaz Khan, the current Chairman of the Senate, and Azam Naqvi, a member of the Senate, conspired against him, taking advantage of his existing tensions with the Power Committee.
Abro further stated that the PTI has transformed into a social media party, and he did not receive any letters or information about the opposition to the 27th amendment. It is worth noting that the PTI has lodged a complaint with the Chairman of the Senate, seeking Abro’s disqualification due to his support for the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
