The Prime Minister congratulated the nation on the discovery of massive oil and gas reserves in the Nashpa Block. Briefing the meeting, it was informed that POGDL has discovered massive oil and gas reserves in the Nashpa Block of Kohat District, which could produce 4,100 barrels of oil per day, and by June 2026, the target of 3.5 million RLNG connections would be completed. POGDL has announced a major discovery of oil and gas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the Nashpa Block in Kohat producing 1.05 million cubic feet of gas and 4,100 barrels of crude oil per day.
POGDL has termed the discovery of oil and gas as a big gift for the nation on the eve of New Year. The Bragzi-01 well was drilled up to a depth of 5,170 meters, and the Nashpa Block is operated by POGDL with a 65% stake, while PPL has a 30% stake and GHPL has a 5% stake. According to the spokesperson, a successful indication of a 187-meter zone rich in hydrocarbons was made in the Nashpa Block.
