A viral video on social media shows Tina McVae driving and using her mobile phone at the same time. The video captures a loud crash and a child asking, “What happened?” McVae responds, “I hit someone.” This incident is being considered a possible case of femicide by the police, as McVae did not slow down or change her route even after the signal turned red. The accident left 53-year-old Darren Lucas severely injured and was transferred to the hospital, where he passed away.
Tina McVae’s lawyer has stated that evidence will show that the incident was an accident. McVae has been released on bail, and the case will be heard again in court.
