Punjab Information Minister, Ameen Ul Haque, has launched a scathing attack on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) street movement, calling it a “joke” and a “futile exercise.” In a statement issued from Lahore, the minister said that the PTI leaders were “having a field day” after celebrating the Bangladesh flag for a night, but their “moment of triumph” was short-lived. He added that the movement’s leaders were left without a response to the slogans they had been chanting.
Ameen Ul Haque further stated that the PTI leaders should return home and “get back to their respective provinces,” instead of trying to dictate policies to the rest of the country. He urged them to “leave Lahore to the Sikhs” and “get back to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” and listen to the people’s voices.
Meanwhile, the National Cyber Crime Agency has been established, and there is a zero-tolerance policy towards hate speech and terrorism-related content, said Sindh Home Minister, Atta Tarar. He also revealed that he had spoken to the Chief Justice regarding the violence case against Rizwan Bhatti.
PTI founder, Imran Khan, and his wife Bushra Bibi, have requested the Supreme Court to declare the Toshakhana case verdict null and void. Ziaullah Langah, a PTI leader, termed the terrorist group’s narrative as “a pack of lies” and stated that they create a false narrative against the state through social media.
