Pakistan’s security forces have dealt a significant blow to the Indian-backed proxy terror network in the country by killing five militants in a daring operation in the Kohlu district of Balochistan. The operation was carried out by the security forces on December 25, after they received information about the presence of Indian proxy militants in the area.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces effectively targeted the hideout of the militants, engaging them in a fierce firefight that resulted in the deaths of five Indian-backed militants. The ISPR also stated that the killed militants were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region and were armed with sophisticated weapons, explosives, and other ammunition.
The ISPR further emphasized that the security forces remain committed to eradicating the menace of foreign-backed terrorism in the country and will continue to take decisive action against those who seek to destabilize Pakistan. The federal government has also taken steps to curb foreign-backed terrorism, including the declaration of Adil Farooq Raja as a prohibited person under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
In a related development, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has seized over Rs 3.17 billion worth of smuggled goods in Quetta. Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a warning about the possibility of heavy rainfall and snowfall in the province.
