In a significant move, Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Staff and Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, met with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Ahmad, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and the regional security situation.
Major General Yousef Ahmad praised the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces and commended their services for maintaining peace and stability in the region. Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defence ties with Jordan and emphasized the importance of joint efforts to address the changing security challenges.
Meanwhile, the Met Office has forecast that a western wind system may affect the city from Monday to Wednesday, leading to an increase in cold temperatures. The local fishermen have expressed their concern about the protection and assistance of dolphins.
In a separate development, security forces conducted an operation in Kohlu district of Balochistan after receiving information about the presence of Indian proxy terrorists. According to the Deputy Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, two dead dolphins were found on the western coast of Gwadar.
The spokesperson of the High Commission of Pakistan in the UK has stated that the relevant material will be investigated in accordance with the law by the British police, and if evidence of law-breaking is found, a criminal investigation may be initiated.
In a statement, Amir Muqam, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, said that the party is working on the agenda of the 9th of May and is determined to weaken institutions. Amma Aslam Bhatti expressed her views on the same issue, stating that if the situation in Punjab is similar to the situation in KP, then the government should take action.
Talal Chaudhary, a senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, said that the issue of PTI’s social media accounts is not a matter of politics, nor is it a matter of freedom of expression. Barrister Ghulam Nabi said that he has always been in favor of dialogue, but it is the prerogative of Asif Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
According to an announcement, the meeting between the two countries discussed the further strengthening of relations and cooperation in various sectors. Akhtar Walayani, a senior leader of the PTI, said that giving the authority to dialogue to Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a betrayal of the party and its institutions.
The sources have reported that the demonstration in Bradford is still ongoing, and the spokesperson of the High Commission of Pakistan in the UK has stated that the relevant material will be investigated in accordance with the law by the British police.
