The PIA was sold to the Arif Habib Consortium for a whopping 135 billion rupees at a transparent bidding process. He further added that the privatization of state-run institutions will play a crucial role in stabilizing the economy and promoting foreign investment.
The Prime Minister commended the efforts of Field Marshal Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif, Advisor on Privatization Muhammad Ali, and the Privatization Commission for their outstanding work in facilitating the privatization process.
