In a recent interview with “Jeo News” program “Aaj Shahzad Khanzada Kay Saath”, KP Government Advisor for Information, Shafiq Jan, announced that the government is preparing for a street movement. He stated that the core points of the negotiations would be either new elections or the return of their mandate. According to Jan, the responsibility of leading the movement lies with Mahmood Achakzai and Alama Nasir Abbas, who want to launch a movement against the current government, and they are ready to join hands with them.
Shafiq Jan also stated that the PTI government is organizing rallies in Peshawar and that the number of attendees is evident, as people are coming in large numbers to listen to the address of the Chief Minister Suhail Anwer Afriidi. When asked about the call for the movement, Jan replied that people would respond when the call is made, and they are preparing for the street movement. He further said that when Mahmood Achakzai makes the call, the movement would take a bigger shape, and it seems that resistance is the only option left, and the movement they are going to launch would be on the next level.
During the interview, Jan also mentioned that Maulana Fazalur Rehman was invited to a conference to discuss the arrest of party leaders and workers, and false cases, and they are ready for it. On the other hand, the spokesperson of Motorway Police said that three people were injured in the accident, and they were shifted to the hospital.
