Abbottabad, a city in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, witnessed a horrific incident on Tuesday evening. A man, later identified as KASHIF, allegedly poisoned his wife and three children, following which he attempted to take his own life. Unfortunately, all three children succumbed to their injuries, while the suspect and his wife were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to the police, the incident occurred in Kaghan Colony, where KASHIF allegedly poisoned his wife and children. The police have seized the suspect, identified as AQBAL, and are investigating the case. If found guilty, the suspect faces a death sentence and a fine of PKR 5 million, while he will be imprisoned for life and fined PKR 5 million under another charge.
The three children, aged between 1 and 7 years, died due to alleged poisoning, while the couple was hospitalized in an unconscious state. Senior Superintendent of Police Ashiq Khan stated that the children’s death appears to be due to poisoning, and further details will emerge once the suspect regains consciousness.
