According to police officials, the incident occurred on 11 December, and the accused, Noaman, is still at large.
The police have registered a case against the victim, who has reportedly been identified as a member of the MQM. In a related development, the MQM’s central leader, Dr. Farooq Sattar, has stated that the police cannot be effective without a clear definition of the mayor’s role in the law.
