In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police has finally solved the mystery behind a high-profile rape case in Qasur district, Punjab. The prime suspect, the victim’s maternal uncle, was arrested after DNA matching confirmed his involvement in the heinous crime. According to District Police Officer (DPO) Qasur, Isaa Khan, the 17-year-old victim’s father had filed a complaint against police officer Rafeeq in 2022.
During the investigation, the accused was found guilty and removed from his job. However, on December 5, 2025, the court acquitted Rafeeq due to lack of DNA evidence.
