In a stunning revelation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Advisor on Information, Shafiq Jan, has claimed that the jail superintendent is so powerful that they can prevent the Chief Minister from meeting with him. In an interview on Geo News’ program ‘Capital Talk,’ Shafiq Jan expressed his concerns about the current situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that the province is on the brink of being ruled by the governor. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader emphasized that the party has reservations about the health of its founder, Imran Khan.
Shafiq Jan mentioned that the Chief Minister, Saeed Afridi, has publicly stated that if the federation wants to impose governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, they should go ahead and do so. The advisor claimed that the Chief Minister’s working relationship with the provincial government is not as it should be, and that the jail superintendent is not allowing him to meet with the Chief Minister. Shafiq Jan stated that the Chief Minister was not allowed to visit the Adiala Jail on Tuesday, but will visit on Thursday for a meeting.
