ISLAMABAD—Barrister Gohar Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has made a significant revelation concerning the country’s persistent political deadlock, claiming that the party was on the brink of commencing a dialogue just days earlier. His comments underline the mounting frustration over the continued political instability.
Speaking to the media, Barrister Gohar emphasized that the political climate cannot afford further turmoil. He articulated the party’s desire for internal reform and constructive engagement, stating, “PTI itself wants to improve many things, and we are striving to bring about change while remaining within the system.”
The PTI Chairman underscored the futility of blocking meetings with the party leadership, asserting that it is a fundamental right supported by existing court orders. He expressed optimism that initiating these meetings would serve as a critical step toward improving the overall political situation in the country.
“Pakistan cannot sustain more chaos,” Gohar stated, urging political players to maintain civility and refrain from using inflammatory language. He issued a solemn warning against the deepening polarization, cautioning that conflict between “political people and a major institution is not correct,” signaling the urgent need for all stakeholders to prioritize national harmony and political reconciliation.
