In a political climate often dominated by friction and uncertainty, the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has extended a significant gesture towards reconciliation and institutional respect. Barrister Gohar, the Chairman of PTI, has emphasized that his party sees a strong military as the fundamental guarantor of Pakistan’s safety, rejecting the notion that they are opposed to dialogue.
Speaking to the media after a joint parliamentary party meeting, Barrister Gohar adopted a tone focused on healing and national stability. He clarified the party’s stance, stating that PTI has never shut the door on negotiations. “We want issues to be resolved through mutual understanding and wisdom,” he noted, highlighting a desire to move away from conflict and towards a solution that benefits the country.
Reaffirming the party’s position regarding the armed forces, he stated that they have always supported the institution and appreciate its role in defending the nation. “Our stance has always been that a strong army is the guarantor of Pakistan,” he said. Barrister Gohar further added that he intends to raise the importance of dialogue within the National Assembly as well, stressing that PTI aims for the betterment of the situation so that the country can move forward.
