Karachi, Pakistan – Addressing the closing ceremony of the magnificent Culture Festival organized by the Arts Council Karachi, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, highlighted the promotion of cultural harmony across the country. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to all international artists who visited Pakistan for the festival, expressing delight over the grand success of the event.
Murad Ali Shah stated that “The Arts Council Karachi organized a beautiful festival,” confirming that artists from more than 140 countries visited the Arts Council Karachi. This number underscores the global success of the festival.
The Chief Minister stressed the historical importance of Sindh, proclaiming that “Sindh’s culture is very ancient, and it is a land of peace.” He also highlighted that Sindh is the only province where all languages of Pakistan and the world are spoken, making it an excellent example of cultural diversity.
Speaking about Karachi’s historical status, Murad Ali Shah refuted the views of those who believe Karachi was established after 1947, asserting that “much was already built in Karachi before 1947,” and that the city possesses an ancient history.
He appreciated the children’s performances, noting that “the entire city is rejoicing with happiness today.” Finally, he made an emotional appeal to the city’s residents, urging them to ensure that their celebration of happiness does not cause inconvenience or distress to anyone, and to be mindful of others’ feelings.
