Peshawar, Pakistan – A heartbreaking incident occurred in Peshawar following a political rally, where a vehicle carrying workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) overturned on the Ring Road. This tragic accident resulted in the death of one party worker and left three others injured.
MPA Abdul Ghani Afridi of the PTI confirmed the distressing news, identifying the deceased worker as Haseeb. The workers were reportedly on their way back home after attending the party’s political gathering.
Shafi Jan, Special Assistant for Information, also expressed profound sorrow over the incident, describing the overturning of the workers’ vehicle on their return journey as a deeply unfortunate event.
The three injured workers were immediately transported to a local hospital where they are receiving urgent medical treatment. This sudden calamity has brought immense grief to the families and colleagues of the activists who participated in the democratic process only to face an unexpected disaster on their way back.
