Rawalpindi, Pakistan – Fulfilling the demands of justice in a serious homicide case, a District Court in Rawalpindi has sentenced a convicted killer to death. The court delivered this verdict after the charges were proven, aiming to provide redress and closure to the victim’s family.
According to the court’s decree, the convict will not only face the death penalty for this brutal act but has also been ordered to pay Rs 500,000 as compensation (Diyat/fine) to the deceased’s legal heirs. This judgment was rendered considering the gravity of the crime and its profound impact on social peace.
The prosecution team confirmed that the tragic incident occurred on August 25, 2023, when the accused fatally shot a man. Based on the robust evidence gathered during the investigation and presented throughout the judicial process, the court pronounced the severest possible punishment under the law.
