The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast predicting a distinct shift in weather for Karachi, with the city expecting dry conditions and a notable drop in temperature, especially during the nighttime hours over the next 24 hours.
According to the PMD, the maximum daytime temperature is projected to remain comfortable, ranging between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius. However, residents should prepare for a sharp contrast after sunset, as the minimum temperature is expected to drop significantly, settling between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius.
The department confirmed that the recorded minimum temperature currently stands at $13.4^{\circ} \text{C}$, with the humidity level at $42\%$. The cooler conditions are being primarily driven by light, cool winds blowing from the Northeast at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour, signaling the official onset of the winter season’s chill in the metropolitan area.
