Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi has reacted forcefully to reports linking her name to an ongoing drug syndicate investigation connected to the underworld, cautioning the media against using her profile as “clickbait.”
Two days after her name appeared in investigations by the Mumbai Police into a drug syndicate allegedly connected to underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim, the actress issued a strong denial on Instagram. Defending her reputation, the actress wrote: “I don’t go to parties, I’m always on flights, I’m a workaholic, I have no personal life… I work hard day and night for my dreams and goals. Don’t believe what you read.”
Hinting at past attempts to tarnish her image, Fatehi stated that her name seems like an easy target, but warned that she would not tolerate it this time. She issued a legal threat: “Please do not use my name and my pictures in matters that have nothing to do with me. This time, there will be a heavy price to pay.”
The controversy follows a major operation by the Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell against the network of drug lord Saleem Dola, who allegedly supplied Mephedrone (M-Cat/Ice) and organized drug parties both locally and internationally. Investigative documents claim that Dola had previously hosted parties involving several Bollywood figures, including Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, and Siddharth Kapoor. The Mumbai Crime Branch is now scrutinizing the syndicate’s financial and operational aspects, and it is expected that the investigating agencies will soon summon the named celebrities for questioning.
