Following the national team’s decisive victory in the One Day International series against Sri Lanka, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi extended heartfelt congratulations to the ‘Green Shirts’ while specifically emphasizing the importance of sports diplomacy by thanking the Sri Lankan team and its management.
Pakistan secured an unassailable 0-2 lead in the three-match series by defeating Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in the second ODI played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Pakistan successfully chased the competitive target of 289 runs set by Sri Lanka, achieving the feat in 49 overs with only two wickets down.
A Victory for Peace and Friendship: In his congratulatory message, Mohsin Naqvi not only praised the national side with “Well done Green Shirts” but also offered a special “Thank You Sri Lanka.”
