AMRAVATI, Maharashtra— A joyous wedding celebration in the Amravati district of Maharashtra, India, descended into chaos and panic when the groom was attacked and stabbed on stage. This alarming incident highlights how trivial disputes can escalate into dangerous and violent outcomes.
According to Indian media, the 22-year-old groom, Sajal Ram, was brutally attacked during his wedding ceremony on Monday. The assailant, identified as Raghav Jitendra Bakshe, managed to stab the groom three times on the stage before fleeing the scene with a confederate on a motorbike. The sudden violence left the wedding party in shock.

However, a remarkable and decisive action was taken by the wedding’s videographer, who quickly demonstrated great presence of mind by immediately deploying his drone camera to pursue the attacker. The drone successfully tracked the assailant and his accomplice on a motorcycle for nearly two kilometers, capturing clear footage of their escape route.
Police quickly seized the drone footage and are utilizing it as key evidence to accurately identify the suspects and map their escape path. Initial investigations suggest that the attack was instigated by a minor argument that occurred during the DJ dance session at the wedding, which incited the assailant’s rage.
The injured groom, Sajal Ram, is currently receiving treatment at Samudra Hospital.
